I liked the Iranian air force one.

Matt the Cartoonist is good -- A Royal Naval officer asking just landed small boat asylum seekers -- Can we borrow your boat? https://x.com/MattCartoonist/status/2029608254834159867

Lammy has done a u-turn and has decided that it is now legal to attack Iran as they attacked British bases. (just head in hands time).

Those are hugely important for the US as they are the listening station for the ME. They need to be properly defended.

All I can is that I am glad the scandal has finally broken on this.

Barry Lederman, “normie”'s avatar

I thought that your pick for the best was going to be “Durex could have prevented this”. 😂

Michelle Styles's avatar

It was a good one. Starmer is so weak. His utterances are cringeworthy.

On the Bomb bomb Iran theme have you seen the latest the IDF have obliterated the Khamenei underground bunker https://x.com/JasonMBrodsky/status/2029879698075857325

YES! HELL YES!

It is brilliant to see isn't it?

I just hope they helped a few on their way to Jahannam.

Meanwhile folks around here are running around in circles predicting forever war with Iran and/or WW3. It's a crazy time and I don't pretend to know all the ins and fallouts, I only know this feels so so right. Damn but Trump is showing himself to be a true War Chief in the old Cherokee way. The older I get, the more I wish America would turn to the old Cherokee model of two Chiefs -- A War Chief to deal with all things outside the village and a Peace Chief to deal with all affairs inside the village, as it really does take two different approaches.

Bruce Miller's avatar

Just laugh at the pink haired retards......

Michelle Styles's avatar

Trump is doing it right, right now. He needs to finish the job and get regime change or otherwise it will be worse the next time.

This is a nest of vipers and the cause of most of the world's terrorism.

I too think he is doing the right thing.

Brian Katz's avatar

Lots of wisdom in there Rainbow.

I like the idea of two Chiefs and their different roles.

Hard to think of a past US POTUS that was good at even one of their two important positions.

Celia M Paddock's avatar

I like that idea! There is so much to admire in old Cherokee ways. It never fails to enrage me when I remember the Trail of Tears.

Leading from behind after the fact?

Bruce Miller's avatar

Starmer is used to leading with his behind.....

Jen Todd's avatar

Ankles firmly in hand. That was Biden's power position, too.

Bruce Miller's avatar

And definitely B. Hussein's...

Ohhhhhh, Bruce…..

Once again, you beat me to it…

Soon I expect funds will magically appear to fix those Royal Navy ships. What a frickin mess.

Michelle Styles's avatar

One can hope. It is how the Treasury has been operating. It is why Rachel from Accounts started mouthing expletives at Badenoch during PMQ this week.

It is just utterly embarrassing. Loads of retired naval officers are furious.

Rainbow Medicine-Walker's avatar

I'll bet. I had a funny image of Admiral grandpa and the old Lord Mountbatten he used to work with, sitting side by side up in the afterlife and reaching down to smack some heads together.

Michelle Styles's avatar

This is a list of the status of the naval ships. https://x.com/TBrit90/status/2028458556291236187

It makes for depressing reading.

It has been a deliberate policy.

The Treasury just keeps keeps cutting the MoD because it is not one of Reeves' priorities.

The rot started under Blair/Brown but really they had warning!

I suspect Nelson and Collingwood are jumping up and down with rage.

Casey Jones's avatar

I would imagine that "furious" does not rise to to describe active naval officers!

The Durex one was pretty darn funny!

Bruce Miller's avatar

C.mon Michelle..... the Durex one was brilliant.

I make no comment. I don't even want to think about his parents' sex life!

He is just spineless.

It's not a meme, but the comment "Argentina must be seeing an opening in the Falklands" really resonates. I would love to see them rock up in a 40 year old destroyer, plant the flag on the beach, take a sheep hostage, and declare the operation done and dusted.

JBell's avatar

😂🤣😂🤣

Celia M Paddock's avatar

That hadn't occurred to me, but that's brilliant. They should do it.

The jet was beautiful. I have a thing for planes, the blacker, more raptor-like the better.

Perhaps a little like finding horrific splendor, even majesty, in footage of nuclear tests.

I would wager that no matter what they say aloud, Democratic leaders are envious of Trump's clear-sighted resolve. I wrote to Schumer the other day to tell him he should be ashamed; also Hochul. The pipsqueak Mamdani is incapable of self-reflection.

The press conference with Secretary Pete Hegseth and Adm. Brad Cooper was great yesterday. Very informative and uplifting.

Oh, I switched elsewhere. I'll watch it. Thanks.

My husband and I were at a Pasadena, Ca antiques market on a bright, sunny day, years ago. Suddenly, we were in complete shadow. Everyone looked left, right, back, forth, then, straight up.

Stealth - immediately overhead. Literally felt like we could throw a rock and hit it.

Once the pilot knew he’d gotten our attention - up and out.

Very impressive.

B.'s avatar

That reminds me of an experience my mother had during World War II:

She heard the low roar first. Then the sky over Williamsburg, Brooklyn, was utterly darkened: What seemed like hundreds of bombers were flying wingtip to wingtip on their way to Europe. Of course. Airplane factories had created 36-hour days to churn them out.

Your stealth pilot was a master showman.

Notes from the Under Dog L.'s avatar

When Mamdani spoke for all Americans regarding Iran...what a tone deaf jerk. He needs to start speaking for ALL and not just his ideology.

JBell's avatar

Love, Love the Ayatolahgon!

The Durex ad was the best. Followed by the BBC painting. Right, Michelle?

Casey Jones's avatar

I dunno. The 72 Virginians...

Bruce Miller's avatar

Funny but imagine treating a cult that believes that stupid shit like a legitimate "religion????" Have we lost our minds? Islam was founded by a maniacal pedophile in the 7th Century and spread only through conquest and forced rape and subjugation. I rules by fatwa and jihad and spreads through lies and deception. No sane person views this death cult otherwise.

Jasmine Crockett, The Ayatollah and Kristi Noem all gone yet I find it hard to laugh about the past week since the mass psychosis of the opposition party continues to intensify. Get well soon.

Netflix will definitely make that movie. I also loved the Durex one ( had to goggle what Durex was ) and the 72 Virginians.

Late entry breaking yesterday: Tearful Trump takes Kristi Noem behind woodshed https://babylonbee.com/news/tearful-trump-takes-kristi-noem-behind-woodshed

My verdict: good riddance. It is rare for me to dislike other women but b&%$# please. The extensions, the lip fillers, the false eyelashes, the costume changes. So many other women are more worthy and less cringe, my darling Harriet Hagerman being one (but she's being rewarded with a senate seat).

I watched the senate hearing on Wednesday and thought "John Kennedy was given a gun and told to bring back supper" and sure enough he did. I will wait and see what Markwayne Mullen does but I think it will be much more efficient.

RMac's avatar

Agree. What a relief. Embarrassment to all women.

Celia M Paddock's avatar

I was doubtful about her appointment from the very beginning. The position requires good judgment, and she exhibited very poor judgment in the way she told the story about putting down the chicken-killing dog. And lo and behold, her judgment turned out to be poor again.

ManAlone's avatar

I couldn't believe that she actually put that story in her book, especially the way she told it. Did no one read a draft and say anything?

Who is that pose of Trump with the cigarette? It's not Trump. I'm wracking my brain. I know that pose. It's one of our movie "anti hero" stars. Not Nicholson, I don't think. C'mon Poet, gimme some help here. Or Celia, I think you must know who it is, to have included it. If I'm right about this, it's a brilliant "take." Of course, it could be something else entirely - I'm so out of it with all the new lingo and "memes" and stuff. I'd like to think it's Bogart, but it's newer than him. He does come near to it, it some scenes, to my memory at least.

B.'s avatar

It's a take-off of an Iranian woman, her hair loose, who did same; possibly posed. I think.

Brian Katz's avatar

🎯🎯

Celia M Paddock's avatar

Yup, the pic of the woman was well-circulated in the period leading up to the attack.

Michael Karg's avatar

I missed it. That's good then. I like the fun stuff, the more subtle the better. I'm not on YouTube, Face Book, social media, I mostly read current historians commenting on current events, referencing the times similar happened before. I love your bios of poets and writers.

For info on the tick/disease question, Robert Malone had a recent substack of ticks and biological labs and Lyme disease. More than a little eye opening how insects have been used... Just read, too, that he is now on a UN committee on biological weapon use, etc.

Yes, I have been reading his blog with some alarm. The only good news in all of this is that RSV (respiratory syncytial virus) has turned out NOT to be a lab-created or -enhanced virus. I guess there was some doubt, because it was only isolated in the 1950s, even though it seems to be a common cause of "having a cold."

Louisa Enright's avatar

Someone here the other day suggested this X poster, and I'm finding his information interesting, so wanted to say "thank you." The ME is NOT my area of research, so this poster gives a more fleshed out view, and I hope that he is accurate, etc.
